The Biology web server has several features that can be set up/used for your internet projects that is related to the department, whether it be for a course or research. Listed below is a list of resources along with some possible uses for it. If you have any questions, contact the webmaster.

Password Protected Web pages/Directories
Web pages and directories can be password protected. Some uses for it include:
- Post research/scientific data that you only wanted to be accessed by a selected group.
- Conduct online quizzes for your students
- Use your imagination
Forms and Email Scripts
If you are web inclined and would like to create your own HTML forms, the web server has a script that can process your forms. The information submitted can either be emailed to you and/or saved to a database file. If you are interested in creating your own, the webmaster can provide information to on how to call the script from your directory and the attributes needed to make it compatible. ITS's Penn State personal web server also has one that can also be used.

Other scripts can be set up on request. For security reasons, all scripts must be approved by the webmaster.
